Soulless Posts

July 27, 2008 · Filed Under Rambling · 1 Comment

For the last couple months I was so busy trying to make a few bucks from the Internet. I was so busy that I seldom post anything on dojimonster. Even when I do, it was all things that I copied or translated from other sources. They’re just a bunch of posts that do not have any souls - there’s no “me” on them.

The reason I do that was that I just don’t have the time to think and pour them down on writings. Another reason is that I wanted to get lots of visitors to come to my blog. It was quite successful. Dojimonster’s Alexa was increasing significantly. I got around 100 visitors a month ( I was running out of bandwith because oh this - dojionster was down for 3 days).

I found something that was popular in the internet, modified it a little bit and posted it. Some “successful” posts was about the earthquake in China and about a 19-year old kid who was elected to be a major in a town in America. It was so popular that dojimonster was always on google’s first page for keywords that are related to China earthquake.

However, there are prices that I have to pay. All the posts are soulless - and people know it! I used to get quite a lot of comments on every post that a wrote. But now, all the comments are gone. No body seems to get interested or intrigued enough to leave his comment. I mea, for a blogger feedbacks or comments are very important. They show that your blog is worth to be given comments to.

Anyway, I’m going to try to start writing posts that are from my heart. Things that have “me” in them. Anything but Soulless Posts. We’ll see :D

Ps. Google has updated its PR. Dojimonster is now PR 2!!

How Far Can You Go After The Light Gas Says Empty?

June 21, 2008 · Filed Under Rambling · 1 Comment

How would you feel when you are in the middle of nowhere and suddenly your gas light in your car shows empty? I’m sure you would feel very nervous and keep looking at the needle indicator that is pointing to the letter E. You will starting to ask your self how far could I still go?

Now you’re not alone on that. People are also having that same questions. Some even have gone far by really testing their car. When the light gas says empty, they still move on.

I watched this program on TV called “Absolute 2020″ where the host was doing just that - inspired by an episode in the popular sitcom “Seinfield” , he purposely kept on driving just to see how far his van can go.

Some people posted their experince on youtube.

A guy, who traveled from Canada, was also doing the same thing. To avoid buying more on gas, the gas in Canada is more expensive than that of in the US because they have to pay more taxes on gas, Justin Davis drove his car across the border although the light gas indicated empty.

He made it to a gas station in The US. This experience inspired him to create a website, all dedicated to answer that question, called TankonEmpty.com.

Some car producers, like GM and Chrysler, admitted that when the light gas says empty, it is not really empty. There is a buffer. The purpose of designing it like that was to create a discomfort zone so that people won’t run out of gas.

That reminds of what happened to Paris Hilton when her 200 dollars grand Bentley ran out of gas. The funny thing was that the paparazzi who were following her gave her some help by pushing her car to the side of the road and filled up her empty gas.

Watch the video from LustHunt.com

Now back to the guy in the TV program. After a few hours of driving he really ran out of gas. Of course he brought extra gas with him. Do you know how far his van could go after the light gas said empty? He made it up to 65 miles!

A Change of Persfective

May 7, 2008 · Filed Under Rambling · Comment

If you notice, there’s been some changes on dojimonster.com. The  navigation pages are the first thing you can notice. I have removed some pages and put on some new ones as the replacement.

The reason i did this is because i thing that the previous motto, make money online with dojimonster, doesn’t suit me well. It kinda limit me from writing what I want. I don’t want to wite how to make money on line all the time. I want to write about some other things as well. I want to write out terrible disasters happening around us - the 65.000 death tolls in Myanmar  for example. I also want to write about how google is going to have no rival its size since the failure of Yahoo acquisition by Microsoft seems to go under water. I even want to write how sexy Lindsay Lohan is on her bikin! :)

That’s why now I have a new Slogan: TheTwisted World Wide Web Broadcaster.  I’m also thinking about changing dojimonster’s theme.

So i guess that’s my new perspective.

Sell Your Blog?

April 28, 2008 · Filed Under Rambling · 8 Comments

Selling an established blog or website has become an easy and quick way to make some cash. We can see this happening very often. I don’t quite understand the motive behind these acts. I mean if your blog has been making money regularly, why bother to sell it. I’m sure the owner has invested lots of resources (money, time, effort) to build the site. But, everybody has his own reason.

The most recent news in the website or domain selling world is the selling of two popular website and blog: DomainPagerank.com and WpDesigner.com. Check out what I have dugg on these two great sites.
