Scientology Controversy

May 23, 2008 · Filed Under Religion/faith

The Church of Scientology London

Since it first establishment in 1952 by a science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology has grown big and bigger. It has attracted the faith of some famous people such as Tom cruise, John Travolta and the latest rumor says that billion-dollar teenager Miley Cyrus is the next target.

The church of Scientology has also got some “resistance”. The latest example was what happen to a schoolboy who call it a cult - “Scientology is not a religion, it is a dangerous cult”.

He was then facing some charges, although the charges was dropped later on.

Well, you might say that everyone has the right to choose what he may or may not believe. But, I personally think that it is extremely silly to believe that “humans are descended from an exiled race of aliens called Thetans.” It’s so “science fiction”.

Scientology is just a scam invented by a dodgy and not very good science fiction novelist to make money. Others have come after him and kept up the money making They seem to be quite successful at finding prominent people gullible enough to fall for it.
